St Matthews Sports & Social Club and Burntwood St Matthews Cricket Club are bringing renewed energy to a relationship rooted in Burntwood’s community life.
St Matthews Sports & Social Club and Burntwood St Matthews Cricket Club are delighted to be reigniting a relationship that has been part of Burntwood life for decades.
Founded in 1897, the Cricket Club has a long history in the town, shaped by generations of players, families, volunteers and supporters.
Under the Social Club’s new management, the two clubs are moving forward together with renewed energy and a shared focus on bringing people together. We look forward to welcoming the Cricket Club’s players, families and supporters as part of life at St Matthews.
The Halloween party at the end of the month is an early example of the community spirit this relationship can help create: local people coming together to enjoy an event and make more memories at St Matthews.
We’re proud of the connection between our two clubs and look forward to building on it. When local clubs support one another, the whole community benefits.
